No access to Administration server

If you lost access right after you applied new settings, you might have locked yourself out from the Administration frontend. This could occur in particular while modifying the firewall or the web proxy configuration. If however you didn't change anything, a problem with the web proxy could be the cause.

First of all you should check the proxy settings of your web browser. Usually DEFENDO's web proxy on port 8080 is used to access the Internet. At least the administrator's PC should have an exception for the IP address or the DNS name of DEFENDO in its browser's proxy configuration. So there will be direct connections when accessing DEFENDO's Administration and the web proxy can no longer interfere. Please adjust the browser setup accordingly or temporarily switch to direct communication, then try to access the Administration again.

You locked yourself out after modifying something in the firewall? As the firewall configuration is done per interface, there is a chance that you can still access the Administration through an other interface (e.g. VPN or RAS dial-in). Possibly remote access is enabled for your DEFENDO dealer or even for Linogate?

Finally you could access the Administration via console. Please connect a screen and a keyboard with DEFENDO. Log in as "admin", then issue the command "setup" which will open the Administration in a text based web browser. First of all, you need to authenticate yourself again. To navigate, please use the cursor keys and enter. Quit the browser with "Ctrl-C". The command "exit" will log you out.
